We live in a world filled with amazing books, but the best part is that we are constantly given new books to read.
The downside to all of this, of course, is how to read so many books and when you realise it is not possible to read every book on the planet (a very sad realisation for my nine-year-old self) finding the books you want to read. There are of course many ways to pick books. I always enjoy recommendations from friends and family, or wandering through books stores and peering at interesting covers and reading descriptions. Then, of course, there is the internet. A place full of book reviews and descriptions that you can narrow down to look at the genres that interest you most. Here we are going to look at some of the exciting new books coming out this year, written by some of our favourite fantasy authors. So here we go:
by Susan Dennard
New York Times Best-selling author Susan Dennard brings us her sequel to Truthwitch in her newest book Windwitch. Set in a fantasy land where there are many types of magic. These books tell the adventures of the witches of Witchland as the character’s struggle to know who to trust as they try to keep war from breaking out. This book was released on January 10th, 2017.

by J.R.R. Tolkien
Tolkien is perhaps best described as the kind of fantasy. His high fantasy series The Lord of the Rings and its prequel The Hobbit are widely regarded as the foreground for epic fantasy novels. While their story was originally written in 1917 has been through many versions since, including in the Silmarillion, Beren and Luthien’s story will finally be released on their own. With the editing done by Christopher Tolkien, the story is about two lovers in middle earth, mortal man Beren and elf maiden Luthien. The book is set to be released on June 1st, 2017.
